ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

In order for North Ayrshire to continue to provide increased jobs and prosperity for its citizens in the future, it is necessary to continue to encourage the economic development of the area and create and support the conditions for sustainable growth.

The Economic Development Team adopts a co-ordinated approach which as well as providing Services to Business also recognises the importance of Tourism, Rural and Community development to the general economy of the area. We also provide advice and assistance to access Statistical Information and European Funding support for Council run projects. Local area market data and securing additional funding is vital for the effective implementation of wider social and economic development schemes.

Economic Development Services work with a wide variety of public and private sector partners to achieve conditions / an environment in which businesses can operate and compete effectively for future growth.
